Televizer is a Chrome extension for making website content easier to read during presentations and screen sharing. The Chrome Web Store release is being prepared. You can try the live browser demo now.
- Once installed, open a normal website and click the Televizer icon in Chrome’s toolbar. Pin the icon from Chrome’s Extensions menu if needed.
- Click a table cell, paragraph, image, or chart. Allow the short selection countdown to finish.
- Click a table’s row header to show the row, or select a cell and press R. Press 1 for ranks.
- Select text to lift a quote. In the extension, hold Option on Mac or Alt on Windows and drag to enlarge a selected area.
- Click outside the presentation or scroll the underlying page to dismiss it. Click again to choose something new.
The live demo uses Option / Alt + T to turn Televizer on. Area capture requires the Chrome extension.

Common questions
Televizer won’t turn on.
Try a normal HTTP or HTTPS website, then click the toolbar icon. Chrome prevents extensions from operating on browser settings pages, the Chrome Web Store, and some other protected pages. After updating or reloading the extension, refresh the webpage and activate Televizer again. Check chrome://extensions/shortcuts if a shortcut is assigned to another extension.
I see “Area capture unavailable.”
Right-click the Televizer toolbar icon and choose Enable area capture on this tab, then try Option / Alt + drag again. A site that automatically enables Televizer may still need this temporary tab permission for screenshots. Keep the tab active while capturing. Area capture is a still image, not an interactive copy.
Clicking a table didn’t select the right cell.
Televizer works best with structured HTML tables. Click a cell, then use R or C; clicking a row or column header should open that group directly. Tables embedded in images, video, PDFs, or unfamiliar custom grids may not expose their cells. Use area capture to enlarge those pixels. Televizer does not extract numeric rankings from a screenshot.
The ranking or percentages look wrong.
Confirm the selected row or column contains comparable numeric values. Higher-is-better is the default; press L for latency, cost, or other metrics where smaller is better. Rankings preserve the source order. Percentage gaps are measured relative to the best value in the comparison group, not the previous column. A zero baseline can make a percentage undefined. Report tables that still produce unexpected results.
A graph is treated as text, or a magnifier is slow.
Press Z to force chart zoom. Complex live charts can take longer to redraw. Use Option / Alt + drag for a still area capture when you need a clear static detail.
Can I use it with Safari, Edge, or every kind of page?
The current packaged release targets Chrome. Safari and Edge are not advertised as supported releases yet. Support can vary with a website’s markup and browser restrictions. Embedded cross-origin media may restart when enlarged.
How are quotes handled?
Select text and release the pointer. Short selections stay verbatim; longer quotes may be shortened at a natural break with an ellipsis. Check the displayed quote against its source before presenting it.

Open a support request ↗You control access
Clicking the toolbar icon grants temporary access to the current tab. Automatic access to one website—or every website—is optional and requested only when you choose it from the toolbar’s context menu. Use Manage Televizer settings to remove saved websites or disable automatic all-sites access.
To uninstall, right-click the extension icon and choose Remove from Chrome, or remove it from chrome://extensions. Read the privacy policy for how page content, screenshots, and local settings are handled.
